Tool-Making and Use
The Upper Paleolithic saw fundamental changes in the ways tools were made, the raw materials from which they were manufactured and the tasks to which they were applied. This is an area in which archaeologists have made great advances, notably through the experimental replication and use of Upper Paleolithic tools and weapons.
